Eileen, you were right to post that. I know you didn't mean to get anyone mad, but I'm personally incensed. The NERVE of them to say that I'm more likely to be homosexual just because I have CAH. What gives them the right to say that? Ambiguous genetalia is a birth defect, nothing more. I see no difference between that and being born with, say, and extra finger (it's been known to happen). I don't agree with their opinion that corrective surgery is wrong. Granted, I think some people would be better off waiting, but that's not always possible in cases of severe virilization. I have yet to meet a CAH woman who is a lesbian. I'd have no problems with it seeing as I dont' think homosexuality is wrong (just an opinion, I don't want to get into a religious or moral arguement :), but it does bother me that they've so grossly misrepresented this condition. *deep breath* Sorry about the tirade.
