My daughter is 20 and the treatment for infants and children are a little different than they were back then. We were on injections of cortisone acetate until she was 4 or 5. This worked beautifully and only had to be given once every 2 or 3 days. ??? I can't remember exactly. I felt safe about the spitting up, vomiting, need for more etc., because it was longer lasting and IM. Does anyone know why they have gotten away from injections? We have a endo appoinment Monday and I intend to find out, or should I say try to find out what is a normal dose of cortisone for CAH patients at all ages. And I will let you all know her opinion. she is an adult endo so she may not be of much help with peds, but I will try. VickyEllasmom
