From the Webster Dictionary: Ambiguous: 1. doubtful or uncertain esp. from obscurity or indistinctness 2. cpable of being understood in two or more possible senses or ways. I think this whole sexuality topic is brought up by the "ambiguous" genetalia label, when, in fact, it is not uncertain at all, just an enlargement of the clitoris and lips, and a possible closure of the vagina. There is NO ambiguity about the gender of these girls; their DNA and a simple x-ray can confirm that they are female. Perhaps we should just say, "enlarged genetalia" and be done with the whole subject. Whether a CAH girl is a lesbian, is another matter, entirely. The issue is the same for a CAH male, and no one is callling his sexual preference into question at birth! I think the whole topic is moot. Angered and Frustrated
