Yes, I also heard to use the 1 inch syringe and go into the skin that full 1 inch. To press down on the upper thigh, and go the full way in (to make sure you get it into the muscle). I believe this, and will always follow it. If you don't get it into the muscle it won't work. 3 endos have told me the IM can't be relied on totally anyway (they've seen too many times when it didn't work) AND that it most probably won't work at all if the person continues to vomit after the injection is given OR has already lost enough bodily fluids before the injection is given.
