I was just questioning myself how to mix it the other day. It has been several years since I have had to use it. I pulled out the instructions and practiced mixing it with an old outdated vial I was throwing out. So, my memory is very clear at this point as to how to do it. Our solu-cortef comes in a special vial that you mix it in. The "powder" is in the bottom section and the sterile water is in the top with a stopper between the two. There is a hard plastic "top" on the vial. I shake the vial to be sure the powder is "loose" and then you press down on the plastic top until the water and stopper are forced down into the powder. Shake well. Then break off the center part of the plastic top. Insert the needle through the rubber stopper at the top and withdraw the medication. I assume your solu-cortef comes the same way.
