Yikes! Get her to get that baby to the doctor. You are on the right track. I would call her doctor directly and tell him about your family history. You tried to tell her in a "nice" way, now I would lay the facts out to her. Perhaps if she realizes her baby could die she will think twice. I am sure it is not easy being a young mom, and having to deal with a sick child let a lone a well one. I am 32 and have days I can't handle it. I wish her the best.
