Personally I would of found that drawing my daughters blood only once a year would have and would be in the future a tragic mistake. The dosage is adjusted to body mass, metabolism, possible other illnesses, etc. The cortisone needs have been static and changed due to our monthly blood draws. At times out of control (with blood results) but brought under control through cutting back or increasing. We have switched from solution to pills, thanks to this board. I now try to have blood drawn in the morning before meds. Again the decision being made because of discussion on this board. None of the changes were not strongly supported by the endo or peds ( I may add not challenged with their ego either).
