I feel like I live on another planet! We've lived in 2 different states since our intrduction to CAH and at NO time have I ever been able to admin. KC's solucortef injection inside a medical facility. If she seems ill enough to be seen by an emerg. clinic I give her the shot before we go,I've been told (in both states) since I am not employed as a Dr. on the hospital premises I have no athority to admin. a shot on their property.(Insurance purposes).I then have to fight everyone that sees KC on the importance of blood levels ect.The general medical association (that I've encountered are really dumb on the CAH info.) I sometimes feel like a sub-teacher on this issue.
