I was just reading about the "new wave" of treatments for CAH (search for"National Adrenal Diseases Foundation" at snap.com). Evidently, they think that removing the adrenal glands might be a good idea for ALL CAH kids - med levels are easier to control, and there is a better success rate in getting them to grow to their optimum height. This is not so scary as it sounds: kids with Addison's disease are basically in the same boat - their adrenals don't function at all (while CAH kids have some function). God's blessings in whatever happens!
