Today I burried my mother. She was 69 years old. 5 weeks ago she was living on her own - she would have her moments of confusion but was still about 85% the majority of the time. She had developed methods of coping even when she could no longer "cope". She bought everything with cash etc. On March 7th we found her in her home on the floor. I had talked to her two days prior and called her the day before but got no answer. My Aunt called me the next day at work and said she found her on the floor. She went to the hospital 911. They called it a stroke, and then changed the diagnosis 2 days later to malnutrition, dehydration, Parkinsons, Dementia, and Alzheimers. She was transferred to the nursing home where I work on March 13th. She was slightly coherant in the hospital but drastically went dowhill in three weeks. She is now gone and I've lost my best friend. My question - I've been doing alot of research on Alzheimers/hormone levels and since my daughter Kaitlyn has CAH, and I'm obviously I'm a carrier, I suppose my mom would be too? Would there have been anything that could have been done for her? I'm probably grasping at straws but.......THANKS FOR READING, I NEEDED TO VENT!Bonnie
