Re: Re: Carriers with CAH symptoms - To Beth T.

Beth, I also experienced Anxiety attacks when younger and have many of the symptoms described for CAH patients. I am currently suffering from severe pms symptoms that have to be treated medically. I never had bad pms before giving birth to my son but I guess all things change. It may have some relationship to the fact that my son's OHP levels were out of control for the past year due to a failure in his medication. During that time the stress I went through trying to figure out what was happening to him and why (his doctor told us his behavior was not CAH related)was overwhelming. So much so that I had to quit my very lucrative career to focus on my son's behavior. It was only when he began to go in to psudo puberty at 4 years old that I rushed to get a second opinion and found out about his OHP levels, etc. I put a lot of blame on myself, if only, what if, etc. that I may have exhaserbated the pms symptoms due to the stress. I don't know what the answer is but I am sure committed to finding out. As I have stated before, there are way too many coincidences to be ignored. Also, someone posted earlier on this board that they were told that CAH carriers most definately WOULD exhibit signs and symptoms of CAH throughout their lives. That was the first I had heard of it - I want to hear more. If not for myself, for my daughter and husband. Please feel free to email me at ltorony@CT2.nai.net if anyone has more of the information on CAH carriers.
