I just finished reading this book. It is by Joan Wester Anderson. She has AWESOME books about true stories submitted to her. These stories each tell how God has touched their lives. They are just what my spirit needs. This particular book had a story entitled "Those Who Wait Upon the Lord". It was about how this family endured so many obsticles in their lives that included finding out their daughter had CAH!!!!!!! I was so amazed to see those words, CAH. When I started to read her story I was thinking to myself, "Gee this sounds like me, her daughter's birth was the happiest and the most terrifying day of her life." Then I read on to see that she found out her daughter was diagnosed with CAH. The story went on to say if it was not for the chain of events that took place in her life, she would not have wound up in one of the two states that do a test at birth to check if the infant has CAH. (Now I believe there are 14 states that test at birth) I just kept reading this line over and over in amazement. This is a rare disease and here is a story right in front of me. The story said their names were Karen and Keith Parker. There has been some Karens that have participated on this board. I know one of them is not her. But I have seen another Karen on here too. The author might have changed the names for privacy. But if you are reading this and this was your story, please let us know. I would not be surprised to know that you found this message board since God has led you to all other great things in your life. If you have not found this board, I KNOW you will. To all others, this is a book worth reading. Not only for the one story about this family, but for the other stories that I know will lift your spirit. I KNOW WE CAN ALL USE THAT WITH THE THINGS WE FACE. God bless.
