Ann, My daughter was born with the ambigious genitalia. SHe had had two surgerys, one at 6months and one at 9 months. She is now a year old. My husband and I thought ong and hard about this decision. You need to do what's best for her. I can understand the fact that no one will be looking at that part of her body, but you have to think how she will feel when she starts to notice it herself. SHe will most likely ask you why her private areas look different that her sisters. I think that you should have her surgery's done at this age because it will be easier for you to explain to ther about her medical problem in the future, when she is old enough to understand.
