Hi Karen, My daughter is going to be 9 years old in a couple of months. She weighed almost 10 lbs at birth, she is okay for her age now, but since taking the cortef she has been putting on a few pounds, and she is developing fast. I am concerned about her eating so much. As a matter of fact, I had asked the endo about the cortef, and my daughter's weight gain, he said that the cortef will do that. I am short and not heavy and my husband is tall and skinny. I know how you feel about your daugther, so you are not alone. I just hope that when she reaches puberty that she won't get heavy. Hope this info helps you.
