My non salt waster, 11 yrs old, has been salting her food for years. She loves anything salty. We once caught her eating salt (poured from the shaker into her hand and eating it). Endo did more tests and said everything looked ok but to allow her to salt her foods the way she liked them. Also, we notice when it is hot or playing sports (which we encourage for the exercise) she seems to "need" additional salt. We keep a salty snack available and lots of Gatorade. My own personal belief is that she is probably a mild salt waster. By the way, she does take florinef, but the dr insists that was added to make the hydrocortisone work better and to get better control of her bone age.
