My sister and I both have this, my sister to a greater extent; I am a CAH carrier and she is not, so I don't think it has much to do with the condition. My CAH daughter has beautiful smooth skin, but then, she's only 2. My sister has seen a dermotalogist for this and yes, there was a name for it ("follicular" - somthing or another). He said the same kinds of things: it's hereitary, more prevelant in people with very fair skin, and is basically blocked and infected hair follicles. He suggested using mild dermabrasion (a good scrub with a rough washcloth), and then gave her a mild cortisone based cream. It worked wonders! The down side is this: within a month or so of not using the cream, she's back to square one. So, I don't really know what to tell you. If you child's skin is really bad, or if it bothers them as they get older, perhaps they could see a dermatologist. Good luck!
