When my son was released from the hospital(UCSF) shortly after his diagnosis they gave me a wonderful letter for me to hand to anyone anytime I had to take him to the hospital. They also gave me a second one with instructions for me. I would be happy to send anyone a copy that may want one. I do have to say it is not a generic letter, however, I think the instructions are pretty standard. I have sent it to a couple of people from this message board and they have been very impressed with it. I continue to read some of these posts and how medical personnel don't take us seriously. But if you walk into the emergency room with a letter that immediately explains how serious it is, then maybe you would get faster action. I have several copies with me at all times, diaper bag, car, purse and wallet. That way I will never be without one. If anybody is interested you can email me your address and I will be more than happy to send one.Kym P.
