I don't believe that they need to know who the father OR mother is to establish CAH, Melissa. They are likely just trying to establish a pattern and family history for the sake of your baby, and particularilly if you would choose to have another baby with the same father. It might also be nice for the father to know that he is a CAH carrier (you and he must both be carriers, if the baby has CAH for sure.) I know of another CAH baby (seen by our endo) who is adopted - so there goes that theory! God's blessings at your appointment - I'll pray everything goes well!
