Our ped. endo. told us that KC stood a 65% chance of being gay, she said because of her CAH. At the time I wanted to slap her! I used to think that I would have a hard time with that if it were true, but now I'm just grateful that someone in the medical field was sharp enough to catch KC's adrenal problems and have an active and positive way to treat her. Even a few months ago I had these concerns. I'll never forgive that dr. for giving us the choice of gender after KC was a year old, it seems incredible now that the woman is in medicine, and it really doesn't matter if KC is or isn't gay, she's our miricle child (she crashed 2x's before we even knew she had CAH) We love and support her regardless. She already is an asset to society and when she grows up she'll be a compassionate ,thoughtful, contributing individual regardless of her sexual preference.
