There have been some changes in insurance law. If you currently have insurance with one job and go to a new job that insurance company must accept you without claiming preexisting coverage.I am not sure if this is federal law or state. We live in CA and have switched companys 2 times, with no problem re: my daughters coverage. Now the extent they coverage esp. with prescriptions has varied but the coverage has been there.
