Lucha, My daughter has 11 beta hyroxylase deficiency, non-salt wasting. She is however, only 17 months old. What her pediatric endocrinologist told me, since my daughter shows no signs of high blood pressure (which is often a problem with this deficiency), her treatment will be the same as with the 21-hydroxylase deficiency. The way she explained it, right now we will just have some extra things (sorry I can't remember what they are) checked with her normal blood work and keep a close check on her blood pressure. Good luck finding someone with this deficiency. In 20 years of practice, my daughter is the first her ped endo has ever diagnosed. I was told that this deficiency is about 1 in 100,000 births. Also, when I asked on this board several months back if anyone knew anything, I had no responce. Janet
