We split 10 mg tablets into quarters. Our endo (who happens to be the head of pediatric endocrinology in western Canada, so I really trust her judgement), has done research on the effects and time life of these drugs; she says that it doesn't matter if the pills are split exactly, as the hormone levels in our bodies are measured on a 24 hr. basis. So, as long as our daughter gets the whole 10 mg pill within 24 hrs. we're OK. (still trying to get the splits as close as possible, of course) She's 2 & a half, and has been exceptionally well controlled her whole life (her case is part of a national study, and they call it a "textbook case"!) So I'm really not worried about that at all (I've got plenty elso I can worry about!!)Wendy-Lee
