Funny you should mention siblings of parents/grandparents who died as infants. My own Dad passed away 16 months ago, but abaout a year before he died we were looking at pictures, papers, etc one Sunday afternoon. Imagine my surprise when I learned that there were 4 infant deaths among his brothers/sisters! Of course what we were looking at was written in German, so I didn't understand a word, but Dad's loose translation was "failure to thrive". I am sure I must have inherited my CAH gene from his side of the family. On my husband's side we don't know of anything quite so obvious.
