Here in North America, we have a suspension form of the hydrocortisone called Cortef. There has been so many problems with this drug, although the company that makes it won't admit it YET. Recently they issued a note saying that this suspension should be shaken for 5-7 minutes before giving!!! Needless to say, I believe many children are not getting the proper medication levels because of this. Here, in Canada, this drug is still classified as "experimental", which means (among other things) that it is not covered by our national health care! You're not missing anything - keep using the tablets!
