I recall those toddler & pre-school years being the worst for DJ when it came to getting stuck. I just hung in there (literally, as I usually held him on my lap for every draw) thru all the screaming & kicking & squirming. Afterwards we would (& sometimes still do) go to McDonalds for breakfast, that way he had something really good to look forward to, besides he hadn't been allowed to eat till after the blood was drawn & I liked to get something in him as soon as possible. ---no, he doesn't sit on my lap any more--the first time he wanted to sit alone was harder on me than the first day I sent him off to school!! About the 24hr urine collection--DJ has done that a few times, but only to do a '24hr urine free cortisol' test, can they actually run all the tests from that instead of a blood draw?!Deb L
