Re: girl with early puberty

My son is 4 years old and his bone age is 8. He, also was heading toward puberty. He was put on an "overdose" of Cortef until we were sure we arrested his bone growth. We are going to be taking him Wednesday to Dr. New's Growth Hormone Study program to find out more information about what we can do, if anything, to recapture the stature that he lost during his medication mis-management. I was told that if he were older they would use depo-lupron to postpone puberty and give him longer time to grow before his bones fused. What height is she at now? Have the doctors calculated her projected height at this rate? What caused her advanced bone age? Make sure you are with an endo you feel extremely comfortable with. Good luck, Lynn
