Re: How to give Cortef tabs to little ones?

I found a pill splitter, too...it has been a god-send-don't ever get rid of it! They are easier to find now than they used to be. Each night I would set up my son's pills for the next day, each dose in a separate Tupperware "Miggie" (it's a very small container with a tight fitting lid) then add 1-2 drops of water...when it was time to give him a dose all I had to do was add a little (VERY LITTLE) more water & draw it up in a dropper (or a needleless syringe) and squirt it in his mouth. He used to squish some of it back out with his tongue when he was only a couple of months old, so I asked one of the nurses at clinic to show me how they do it when they give the oral polio vaccine. She showed me how to squeeze his cheeks so he couldn't flatten his tongue to the roof of his mouth--this worked VERY well, no more guessing how much went down & how much was on the bib!!
