Sounds encouraging - let us know what happens in the Fall. I attended a meeting of the Health & Education committee of the Virgina State General Assembly. Senator Ticer from Northern Virginia presented the bill to the committee to mandate testing of newborns in Virginia. I was there to speak as a parent for the need to do the test. All 15 members voted to pass this bill on. It went to the budget sub-committee and some group for a study to see exactly what the test involved, accuracy, etc. I think it will be presented to the entire Assembly in the next session. Let's hope both Virginia and Maryland will soon have legislation passed in the near future. Thanks for your efforts in Maryland!
