Even though your daughter has non-classic CAH ... have you been told about an adrenal crisis, how serious vomiting is for CAH children, increasing cortisone for illnesses & fever (i.e. as in to triple with a fever over 101F), and to be watching for dehydration with ANY illness & get to the hospital for IV fluids & IV hydrocortisone? The doctor reading from a textbook 10 years-old!! Ugh!! Maybe to tell the doctor there is much more current literature on the internet. Anyway, my 3 year-old twin daughter died in June 1999 to an adrenal crisis (salt-wasting CAH) ... and many others on this board have had a child die due to CAH. Non-classic CAH children & adults CAN have an adrenal crisis (dehydration, low blood glucose, low blood pressure, etc.) -lethargy or tiredness may well be indicating low blood glucose (too low and coma, brain damage, and/or death can result).Anne
