My daughter had the chicken pox. We had been told to try to avoid it at all costs. We were also given a prescription for something called Zovrax (or something like that) and told to give it to her immediately when we saw the first sign of chicken pox. We did this and she had a mild case. It was long ago, but I believe we probably did stress dose her at the time. I am not as clear about that, but I am very clear about giving her the prescription from the pediatrician and it caused her to have a very mild case. Check with your doctor.
