My question is about my son, who is a little older, than it seems most of your children are. You will, I assume, face the same questions, in time. He is seven, a non salt-waster, on the cortef pill(only last 2 months, before that liquid). Hayden is very athletic, always excells in any sport, especialy aggresive sports. I am trying to direct it in a possitive direction. He has recently been playing Ice Hockey, the most aggressive and active sport yet. Does he need a "stress dose" before/after playing. I have tried it both ways. I feel better, and he SEEMS to be less exausted, with IT(have tried 21/2 mg. extra, because he takes 51/4 in AM and plays hockey after morning dose), but don't know if it is for the best. He drinks water/gatorade while playing but don't know if it is enough. Please let me know if there is a standard for aggressive/assertive sports? If you know, is there a standard for professional/ collegiate sports concerning cortef for CAH? Thank You, JessicaJessica Karp
