Not to offend anyone, I do think it's great to speak with a professional as a group, but there is a BIG PROBLEM here!!! I think some on the board might be looking for a miracle when they speak to her/ask questions/get answers/forum. Yes, it is agreed, she is the most researched Dr. dealing with CAH studies at this time. But she sure isn't god, and i feel she might not have all the right answers for everyone. All she can do is generalize, not prescribe. If she were to prescribe the right dosage, blood level averages etc., that would be ethically wrong. Every case is different. I get the feeling from alot of you that you have no faith in your current endos. In that case this might be a help to you, but it also might become a burden. Are you assuming your dr. is not as updated on CAH???Is he/she impatient with all your questions etc, etc. I urge you all to sit down and think about the questions you're about to put up for Dr. new. I also think that your Dr. should be aware for they might want to join in the discussion too. Remember she will not be seeing or treating your children, understand this can only be in generalizations(as is her studies and findings). One example to be aware of is the 17 progest. discrepency which seems to come up often. Some say, 90-300, and others have been saying up till 1200. I read someone say they don't know why their doctor would say only up to 300 if Dr. New's office sais 1000. Your doctor knows YOUR childs medical history, and looks at it as acase on one specific person. I hope it does help you all, but please don't be disappointed if there is no miracle # or answer. Again, I did not write to offend, only wanted to tell youall to be focused!!! Good luck w/ finding th'TRUTH"ILYSSA
