Concerning sports and not allowing bracelets: I told the league my daughter plays in that if they would take full responsibility for my daughters health during the game - then I would allow the medic alert to be taken off during the games. If for some reason, I could not be at the game (has happened once) that bracelet would be valuable to the EMTs that might treat her. The bracelet stays on during the games.
