Thank you all for your informative opinions. Currently we are still picking up our son when he cries at night. My motherly instincts thinks that he is to smart and made the connection, cry=holding me. I am going to look into the books that were suggested and otherwise take each sleepless night as it comes. What can I say, I AM WEAK, I just can't stand to hear him cry!! Thanks again:)
