I had asked my endocrologist in the begining of my daughter's life if you could just have a adrenal gland transplant. He said the gland is to viable (sp?) meaning it would just mush apart, nothing to really "sew it to" And of course with a new kidney you automatically get a new adrenal gland. There is already a waiting list for the children and adults that need new kidney from kidney diseases. So I would NEVER even consider that seeing as our children are treatable. So my thought was what if I could give her MY kidney if we were a match? People live on one kidney. I wonder if that would "fix" her CAH. Ok, so I am dreaming, it was just a thought.Laura
