My son (18months - cah salt wasting) is having surgery next week to correct a problem with his hand. (non-cah related). I am extremely nervous about this. I have gone over everything with the doctors and anethesiologist, but I am still afraid. I have begged not to have the surgery but was out voted by my husband and the doctors(They say he will have limited use of his hand if we don't do this). We plan on giving a stress dose, IM injection of solu-cortef, the day before, the morning of surgery and the day after. Does anyone have any advice or tips??? Thank you very much.
