Good point, Sarah. I forgot to mention about the different degrees of severity, and we know about this one, first hand: Our 21-H salt wasting son was classified as "hard to manage", and we did, indeed, have trouble stabilizing his levels (although he was on the liquid Cortef, so who knows?). Our 21-H salt wasting daughter is quite easy to control, and we've never had trouble with her levels, although she has taken the pill form of the hydrocortisone since she was about 3 months old. I wonder if this has something to do with the fact that I took dexamethasone while pregnant with my daughter, but not (obviously) with my son? I know a family with 4 CAH children, and they all have the same type of CAH as well, although 2 are "hard to manage" and 2 are not.
