I wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to read D.J.s' story, it helps some with the pain of losing him to know that he continues to help other CAH children. I do want to stress though that while he was young up to the age of 18, he was responsible with taking his meds.,I talked with him many many times about the importance of taking his meds. and he always said he understood. So please when your children get older if they start to lose weight or show any signs of not taking their meds. do whatever it takes to get them to take it. I wish I would of tied D.J. up and stuffed it down his throat, but I didn't and I have to live the rest of my life missing my son and feeling so much guilt for not stepping in just because he was 21.
