Flu shots are for the respiratory flu - they don't guard against what so many people refer to as a stomach flu (misnomer). I would recommend for anyone who has a chronic illness or who lives with someone who does. In years before my daughter took a flu shot, she would get chest colds, bronchitis and once pneumonia. These were secondary to influlenza. The pediatrician recommended the shot and, believe me, it works! As for other vaccinations, Kristin has received everything she should have to this point - except pertussis. Pediatrician explained (a long time ago) that she should not take this one and it was somehow related to either the fact that she has CAH or takes the steroids. Anyone else ever told this?
