That sounds like a normal childs growth to me. I have noticed most (normal) children do the same thing, sort of chunk up then grow taller. My daughter with CAH does the same thing. I can tell she is about to do a major growth spurt because she eats a lot, gains a little weight then grows taller. My daughter is going to be 9 in August. SHe is on 75% of height and between 50 & 75 % on weight. There is a lot of growth between 6 and 9! I quit buying a lot of clothes and shoes for her during these years, she was always growing - especially her feet! I would buy her new shoes and she would grow out of them by the end of the month sometimes... My friends with (normal) children also have this same problem. My daughter has always been very easy to control her CAH, none of the wieght problems I have read about here either.
