Re: Adult with chest pains and CAH

I too have the problems with check pains from time to time. With me (it actually happened yesterday when I was substituting in a pretty wild 7th grade science class - it was Friday too)it happens when I am under too much stress for the amount of meds that I have taken. The first two periods of the day the kids were great but when we got to third period, the kids in that class were rotten. I felt myself being drained and then ended up right towards the end of the period having the tightness in my chest, headache coming on, tired feeling and I knew to take more Dexamethasone. I just ended up taking I think it was .125 (which is 1/5 of my daily dose). Fortunately 4th period was a lot better and quieter, and the meds made me feel better. I used to get the tight chest stuff a lot before my dosage was changed from .5 at night, to .5 at night at .125 at 7am. I guess I just need that extra to get me going in the morning. The problem with taking the extra yesterday is I noticed the direct correlation in how much I ate yesterday. It seems anything above the .625 and I want to eat more. It's like an addiction, almost like I can't get enough food when I have taken more steroids. Weird! Susan A.
