Congratulations on the new grandaughter! Rebecca and her parents are fortunate to have supportive family. I too have had my daughter on prayer lists concerning her CAH. I explain all about the need for cortisol and how the replacement works. Only a very, very few people know about her ambigous genetalia. Too many people talk or get misinformation from TV, magazines, etc. When my daughter had her cystoscopy last week I again had her on the prayer chain. I just told folks it was some tests to check out some aspects of her CAH. When it is time for her to have surgery, the story will be that she is having a few things fixed. My experience is that as caring people we want to know what is going on, there may be something we can do to help. But I also know that prayer works when it is specific or general.
