Joan, You are the greatest. Please don't set your own personal things aside to find an answer for me if you don't have the time. I'm sure you are so busy as we all are every day. I just feel like we keep getting bombarded every month with something new and NONE of this is in my area of expertise. My main concern has already been answered by you. Just knowing that my son is not in any further jeopardy due to this allows me to breath a little better. Sleep would be nice though. Yes, my son is a classic salt wasting 21...... One of the reasons that I am so confused is that when I asked the geneticist some questions and then I spoke with the fellow I got two different answers. I don't know enough about genetics to know if they are contradicting each other, saying the same thing in two different ways or are stalling me until they can find the right answer. The geneticist told me that it was not very common and I should alert my husbands side of the family immediately because if they were tested it wouldn't show up. I try not to be an alarmist, but this is just getting to be too much. The conflict in answers is enough to send anyone over the edge. Given that I already have a trust issue with the medical field I must say that this is pure torture. I must say that hearing all your stories does make it sound more common and is helping me hold on to my sanity for another day (whatever there is left of it). Joan, I will be going to NY to meet with the fellow and the geneticist so I would love any questions you may suggest for me. I'm sorry if I seem so needy lately, but I just don't get this genetics thing. Never did.LynnT
