From what I understand of the genetics of CAH, if a sibling tests negative for CAH, it means he or she has at least one normal gene and is able to make all the enzymes necessary to make cortisol. Late onset CAH is detected later than classical because the adrenals can make some cortisol, but not enough in stress situations. Amandasmom
