Very beautifully put! I have a son so we are not faced with the same issues the girls are. However, we are asked much of the other questions surrounding things like medication, medic alert bracelet... I totally agree with your point about being relaxed. That has been my theory from the start. In fact sometimes after reading some of the other posts I feel like maybe I'm to relaxed. I hope no one takes that the wrong way. I don't mean anything by that. We have just been so very blessed that Ryan has been so well controlled and only had one minor situation that he needed the IM at home. I guess what I'm trying to say is we forget that we are so lucky sometimes and that it could all change in the blink of an eye some day and that we just live so relaxed right now. Ryan was in pre-K this year. The school was great and the teacher has commented that the other children sometimes ask why Ryan takes medicine or why he gets to drink so much or go to the bathroom so much. She has simply said that his medicine is to help fix something that is a little broken inside his body. He drinks because his medicine makes him thirsty and because he drinks so much he needs to go to the bathroom more oftern. These questions were all early in the year. Once answered there wer no more questions and the kids don't even notice anymore. It's just so natural to even the kids at school now. Judy
