I know exactly how you feel about being relaxed. My daughter is 17 and I have never had to give her an injection. She is a saltwaster and the only time she has been in the ER was from a dog bite. She was fine then too. Even more to make me relaxed is that the nurse midwife who delivered her knew what cah was. The pediatrition where I delivered knew everything about cah and said she most likely had it and immediately contacted the endocrinologist who specializes in cah. Her levels were off only once (when she started puberty) and she has been healthier than most of her friends her whole life. But, I went to a web page dedicated to a 21 year old male with cah who died suddenly. He had moved out on his own and wasn't taking his meds as he should and became ill one night and went into adrenal crises. That mother posted the page to let others know what can happen. It really opened my eyes. I thank her for that and my heart goes out to her for her loss.Goldie
