Yes, and I'm not stating that "comforting" is not needed. But for people to email the person directly with their words instead of taking up space posting on the board. If it were possible to have little icons of "praying hands", "thank you", etc. -- to put behind the poster's message to let them know you read their post & care about them (taking up less space).
