Throughout some posts I have seen people indicating that CAH is a disability - BUT it is not! I have never read any literature or have been told by any doctor that CAH is to be considered a disability. On the contrary, I have been told and believe that with close monitoring and medication my child will lead a normal and healthy life. It appears that people are classifying various medical conditions together with CAH. Many of these conditions are not a medically proven direct attribute of CAH. Therefore, these conditions would exist without having CAH. Yes, I am fully aware of the medical problems that are related to CAH, but none would cause a CAH person to be disabled. I don't think that I am totally out in left field with believing that CAH is not a disability. If someone has any factual literature that would prove the opposite, I would be very interested in reading it.Kimberly
