Lucy I am 33 and a salt loser. When I miss a dose of predinsone I can have a killer headache or just feel tired. when this happens I can not think clearly plus my speech is effected also. I will share with everyone what it was like when I could not get medical treatment for 6 yrs and I did not have my meds. When i could not get my meds I lost a lot of weight and i became very viralized (sp). i weighed about 85-90lbs. when I finally was able to see a doctor and now I weigh about 140lbs. My face was sunken and my voice deepened. I was constantly tired and craving massive amounts of salt. I always felt like I was not all together in my mental capacities. I also was incredably moody i can best describe this as a feeling of spinning out of control with no way to stop. I also did not have a period in those years. I did not sleep well at all I would sleep for maybe an hour an then be wide awake for 2hrs. and then start the cycle over this would go on all night. I now sleep through the night very seldom ever waking up in the night. I hope this helps a little because when I miss even one dose some of these symptoms come back until I take my meds.
