Lucy, Not only do I think your question is a good one, but I can feel the compassion and caring that it takes for a person to be a good Mom. I know you have had your problems with your son, but I don't know if you have ever experienced a near crisis. I and several Moms have gone through this with our children. I know that you have addressed this toward people with CAH, but my son has had 3 situations that he went very quickly into hypervolemic shock. If you don't get what you need from the kids, I would be happy to tell you what I have witnessed as I held my child as he slipped into shock. I can also tell you what I saw in my son as he recovered and found his way back to us. If it is that you want to know what he goes through, my son, although only 5, has the intellegence and non-stop vocablulary of an 8 - 10 year old (according to a friend of mine who is a teacher). He is very expressive to me when he is not feeling well and I would be happy to share to you some things that he had experienced on his was in and on his way back out of shock. I talk to him all the time about how he feels when he needs his meds and he told me a lot of things very graffically when he was being undersuppressed for a year. If I can help in that way, you have but to ask. P.S. It's good to hear from you again.LynnT
